The city of Thun is the start to the Bernese Alps and provides a great old town, castles, museums and some very historic damns . In addition a local favorite is the public pool providing access to the open waters of Lake Thun in addition to their pools all while enjoying the picturesque views of the Swiss Alps.

Fortified City This historic town on the River Aar is well worth a visit with its hallmark 12th century castle. An enviable setting straddling the river banks and interlaced with flower bedecked covered bridges and vistas including the mountaneous outlines of the Jungfrau and Stockhorn.
