The Baltimore Museum of Industry tells the story of Baltimore, a place impacted as much by the worker as the work itself
There is NO ONE who doesn't love the Baltimore Museum of Industry: kids and adults alike will delight in seeing how things were and are made and done throughout the past two centuries. From old farm equipment, planes, and cars, to the walk-in 1910 reproduction pharmacy (my favorite), there are all sorts of fun exhibits and items on display that grandparents will remember from their own childhoods, but today's kids may not recognize at all!

Although located across the harbor in Locust Point this is my favorite local museum because it is interactive and filled with amazing local history (canning, clothing, printing) along with hands-on demonstrations.
A must-see! Located on the opposite side of the Harbor, this is very kid friendly.
Fascinating look into Baltimore's industrial past- kid-friendly too. Small but excellent farmer's market in the parking lot on Saturday mornings (in season). About a 30-minute (very pleasant, one of our fave dog walks) walk along the Inner Harbor, it's also accessible via bus or car.
