Built during the reign of Abdulmecid the 1st, Ihlamur Pavilion served as a summer palace until the end of the Ottoman Empire. Today, the pavilion itself can be visited as a museum while its garden provides a small heaven for those who look for some peace of mind in the city center. The garden of the pavilion is famous for Magnolia trees and tulip blossoms during Spring months.
