I know this is a bit far away, but it's the best Mexican food in the Phoenix metro area. The tortillas are homemade and make everything is delicious. *Cash only*

This is the original Carolina's. It's not in a beautiful neighborhood or shopping area, but their food is some of the best and most authentic. They make everything, including the tortillas. You might think I've given you bad advice when you drive up and order, but the take-out food is worth it.

Features delicious, completely authentic Mexican food. It's nothing much to look at ~ in fact, you might want to take the order to go?? ~ but the food is some of the best in Phoenix. Try the Chicken Chimichanga.
