It is a calm and relaxing place to be. Beautifully set out for all age groups. Large lake with a large array of water lilies, stocked with all types of fish, no fishing but able to feed the fish which is amazing, they are huge. It also houses a museum which displays lots of items from around the world which were collected by the estate owner many moons ago.

Burnby Hall Gardens and Museum are situated in the town less than a mile from The Bungalow, opposite Sainsburys. The Gardens are spread over 8 acres and include 2 lakes which hold a National Collection of Hardy Water Liles and gigantic Koi Carp which can be handfed. It contains many ornamental gardens and formal bedding areas including a Victorian Garden, a Secret Garden, a Rockery and Stumpery. The Stewart Museum contains artefacts from all over the world brought back to Pocklington by Major Percy Stewart, a keen traveller and adventurer. My kids loved the stuffed animals in the museum. You can feed the monster fish in the lake. No dogs :(
