You can access the Blue Ridge Parkway from Afton, but there is also another access point 2.5-3 miles from Wintergreen. It is located right by State Route 664/Beech Grove Rd, which is how you can get to Wintergreen from Waynesboro, VA.

Worth the drive to jump onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. Gorgeous views, great hiking, and fresh air.
