Important old and beautiful church from 1580 build by Alexandru II Mircea ruler of Valachia Contry. Nice religious art among beautiful nature surounded by defense walls.
Placed at walking distance from Piata Unirii, this is one of the oldest monasteries in town. The outside walls are simple, not painted but the inside part is beautiful painted in bright colors. In the north of the church is kept the bell tower, the last vestige of the once powerful monastic enclosure. The monastery's cells are big(in fact, they look like real blocks) and look recently rehabilitated. Across the street is church Bucur, an interesting little church.

It is an amazing place in the heart of the city with the ability to make you feel like you are miles away.
