You can ride the ferry across the Mississippi to Algiers Point from here on the commuter ferry - it's a short and beautiful trip to a historic area of the parish. A favorite! $2 for peds/bikes.

This pedestrian ferry runs every half hour and connects Algiers Point to the French Quarter. The fare is $2.00 and exact change is required. From the Canal Street Ferry Terminal, you can connect to the Riverfront or Canal Street streetcar lines. You can also walk up to the Magazine St. bus or the St. Charles streetcar.
