「あじさい寺」と称されるあじさいの名所。見頃を迎える時期にあわせ、約50品種・10,000株が咲き誇るあじさい園が公開されます。 奈良時代、光仁天皇の創建と伝わる古刹で、寄木造りの阿弥陀如来像、脇侍の観音勢至菩薩や釈迦如来像などを安置しています。ツツジ、ハスなど、四季折々の花々を楽しむことができます。
