This is an iconic cave in that it is original and not a copy. It is forty minutes drive from Lario Grange maybe fifty. There are beautiful paintings inside it that date back some 25,000 years and some beautiful geological features like huge discs of calcite made by a high pressure of water squeezing through the tiniest crack. It is so majestic and it has not been tackified by tourism. The Célé valley which is nearby has excellent canoeing kayaking for families and this is highly recommended. The river is very shallow. The surroundings are stunning.

Although a little further away, about an hour and a half drive. It is well worth it, the world famous spotted horse cave paintings are amazing and the museum is very interesting. You can make a day of it and take a piknic.
