The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is a cultural and commercial facility . That utilizes two historical buildings constructed more than a century ago. It was built as a government bonded warehouse during the Meiji and Taisho eras and, as Japan’s first modern port facility, played an important role in the nation’s development. It stopped being used as a warehouse in 1989, later undergoing nine years of conservation and renovation work until reopening in 2002 as a cultural and commercial facility. --------------- 横浜の象徴的な保存建造物で、今はレストランやお土産屋さんなど、多数の楽しいお店がいっぱい入っています。 横浜に来たら必ず行くべき観光スポットです。

Place of Westernization, port Yokohama. The spot that a fun event and a stylish cafe restaurant can enjoy is Yokohama red brick warehouse while feeling the history for 100 years when I supported modern development of Japan through various supplies and articles carried from the other side of the sea.

The Red Brick Warehouses used to serve the area when it was a port, but have since been converted. They now offer a unique atmosphere with shops, restaurants and spaces for everyone to enjoy.
