Broad Street subway (orange line) a 8 minute walk on Tasker Street. SEPTA now has easy to use card kiosks where you can buy one ride tickets or passes. The Broad Street line goes through the city north-south - City Hall is four stops north, and the stadiums are 3 stops south. This line also connects at City Hall (or nearby, sometimes you have to exit and re-enter) to the MFL (blue) line (which goes east-west, the 30th street station and Amtrak are two stops west, which connects to the airport line).

You can buy a one-way trip for 2.25 using cash or credit card from the kiosks in the station. You can also pay cash at the booth for your trip. The subway is your best bet for getting to the historic Independence State Park district - take the Broad Street line north to City Hall, transfer to the blue Market Street line going east, and get off at 5th Street.
