Enjoy a day of swimming, walking around the famous pond or boating out on the water. Also be sure to visit the replica of Thoreau's single-room cabin." 45-60 minutes drive northeast. Note: Parking fee for out-of-state license plates is $30 when we last checked; MA plates, $8. {can walk 1.5 miles from town of Concord to avoid; parking might not be available on holidays or busy times.] Swimming.
