Scenic. There are 2 paths plus a great hike. Trailhead is tricky to find.

If you'd like a nice hike, try Iao Needle State Monument. The trail follows the stream and it's beautiful! You can hike, swim and have a picnic.

A must. Drive up to the needle and go on a short hike. Feels like Kauai, waterfalls!

Parking fees required. Top 5 places to visit on Maui (in my opinion). Can be quick trip. Less than half mile walk up to needle look out. I consider this the "jurassic park" of maui. In summer months, it's popular for locals to swim in river but water is cold!
