The Eagles Eyrie is located at Abbott’s Lookout, an 1100m high alpine ridge, running between the Styx and Tyenna Valleys on the fringe of Tasmania’s south west wilderness. The building has been designed to nestle into its ridgeline site, minimising its visual impact while enhancing the experience of breathtaking panoramic views over the surrounding mountain ranges and forests. The Eagles Eyrie is the Maydena Mountain Bike Park's, summit café offers one of the most unique dining experiences in Tasmania, with unrivaled 360-degree alpine views across stunning Tasmanian Wilderness. The café offers a wide range of fresh food, hot and cold drinks.

Eyrie: "the nest of an eagle or other bird of prey, built in a high inaccessible place". 1100 metres above sea level, perched at the top of Abbott’s Peak, is the Eagles Eyrie: a large glass and timber building housing a café and restaurant, with large viewing platforms for taking in the breathtaking panoramic views over Tasmania's southwest wilderness.
