because it is close by, only 5-7 minutes away, buses and vans will take you to numerous towns and villages at low prices

There you will find many cheap buses that can take you to the south and to the bekaa area. However they are not fully relaxing. Getting a driver would be much much more comfortable in Lebanon especially that the buses go to a spot that is usually far from the sights or touristic places. They're usually for locals not tourists.

Most south- and eastbound buses pick up here: Saida, Shouf, Baalbeck, etc. You won't pay more than LL5,000 or LL7,000 to get anywhere. For a direct bus to Sour (Tyre), start at the Kuwaiti Embassy, just a bit further south on the same road.
