The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is dedicated to the engineering innovations of the 1920's and 1930's. It is a showcase for the engineers who were responsible for the new technology of the time. The Museum features more than fifty automobiles, many of them being front wheel drive or rear engine automobiles. The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is also home to a reproduction of the world's first self-propelled vehicle, the Fardier de Cugnot. The collection showcases cars from around the world; Cords and a Ruxton from the USA, Tractas, Grégoires and a Derby from France, Alvis and BSAs from England, an Adler and a Hanomag from Germany, and several Tatras from the Czech Republic.
