A NW DC institution. Great hot, inexpensive, and fast breakfast (unless you don't make it before the crowd and have to wait). The friendly wait staff make up for the diner atmosphere.

The world's first soul food restaurant is an amazing diner. It's a bit of a dive, but has the best bacon, sausage gravy, and pancakes I've ever had.
