Visitors can learn about local resident Milby Butler, who helped save the longhorn from extinction. The museum features local art, history and science exhibits, and contains a gift shop.

Learn the history of the Longhorn bloodline and the history of League City itself, which developed around the Butler Ranch and Cattle Station and whose history stretches all the way back to before the Civil War. Heritage Park is located next door with picnic area, playground, fishing pond, hike/bike trails, and canoe/kayak launch available.
