We provide a variety of complimentary edible treats from local farms and businesses to our guests, including Blueberry Ridge Farm’s delicious handmade dark chocolate clusters made with their organically grown blueberries, and sample packages of their organic dehydrated blueberries, which are great in pancakes, muffins, salad dressing, granola, trail mix, oatmeal, smoothies, or eaten alone as snacks. This neighboring farm, owned by Lynn and Gary, a delightful, entrepreneurial couple, provides dehydrated organic blueberries for Bob’s Red Mill, an Oregon employee-owned company that specializes in natural, whole grain products. You will find their berries in Bob’s Red Mill oatmeal, for instance. Also, Lynn and Gary sell large quantities of their blueberries to Japan, where they are used for backed delicacies that are made in Japan and exported to France, and where they are served as snacks, an alternative to nuts, in Japanese “gentlemen’s clubs.” Check out their website for information about their other natural, organic products, including their delicious berry pies and their organic u-pick blueberries. We met Lynn and Gary in 2019 while visiting Hawk’s View winery. They are fantastic people and we are so happy that our chance meeting has provided an opportunity to become friends and to share their high quality, delicious products with our guests!
