~Maggie Valley Rock Shop and Gem Mine- 3894 Soco Road Maggie Valley, Nc. This is one of my favorite places. World class rock shop and has everything from inexpensive crystals and minerals to museum quality specimens and fossils! Jewelry and Himalayan salt lamps/products at great prices. There is also gem mining on site! Open 7 days a week 10-6pm.

Pan for your own rocks and gems - all which you get to keep! Who knows what you’ll discover? They’ll provide a gem guide. Maybe you’ll find your own geode! This is a fun activity for kids of all ages and one the adults will enjoy doing as well.
