This is the Wind Cave Trail located 26 miles from the Desert Oasis in the Tonto National Forest. It’s a 2.9 mile, 807 ft elevation gain out and back trail. Dogs are allowed on this trail as well. When you reach the top of the hike you’ll be cooled down by the wind and mesmerized by the sight of the never ending desert below. I highly recommend if you’re looking for an activity that gets you up close and personal to the wild life and beautiful Arizona desert. Bring sunblock you will get plenty of Vitamin D!

The Arizona Boardwalk is full of fun activities for everyone. Inside the boardwalk is much more than just an aquarium. The boardwalk also has a Butterfly Wonderland, Laser & Mirror Maze, Surprise Your Eyes Illusions Museum, Dinosaur Exhibit and a Virtual Reality gaming center.

31 miles away from the Desert Oasis. Canyon Lake offers all kinds of fun. Chill by the bay with your family for a bbq, fishing, kayak, paddle board and more. Go through coves and explore the waters. It’s such a beautiful experience.

The Olive Mill is a “must do” when staying at the Desert Oasis. Only 4 miles away enjoy live music, great food, family friendly atmosphere with indoor/outdoor seating. Relax with a glass of wine and the Kalamata Sandwhich (my fav) next to the fire pits for a cute photo op. Take home a bottle of wine to enjoy by the pool and sample the vinegar and oil provided in the spice cabinet. Be sure to enjoy the “Queen Creek Olive Mill” on the kitchen counter.
