Dobreč is located on the peninsular at the entrance to the bay, once only accessible by boat and through a very steep and rugged footpath from the village (Mrkovi), which is now lost to the vegetation. However now a new road leads down to the beach and restaurant. Dobreč means isolation and the name is taken after the bay. It is exceptionally peaceful and tranquil with its own microclimate of typical Mediterranean vegetation. Note at time of writing (2021) the road is not surfaced and steep in parts so only accessible with a 4x4 car

Miriste Beach is a cove, a bit smaller than and right next to Zanjice Beach. There's an excellent restaurant right on the waterfront that serves classic Montenegrin seafood and a small selection of meat dishes. Fort Arza - At the tip of Miriste you'll find Arza fortress, built in a circular shape for defence purposes. It is one of two Austro-hungarian fortresses that protected the entrance to the Bay of Kotor. Although the fortress is now out of use and you can't get in, it's an interesting spot and if you're looking to get away from the crowds, you can head over here and find rock pools and more secluded spots. Note can get very busy in summer time

Mumula is a Austro-Hungarian fort on the island of Lastavica located between Prevlaka and Lustica peninsula in the entrance to Boka Bay. Mamula has an interesting past built as a fortress in 1843 by Austro-Hungarian general Lazarus von Mamula. During the 2nd World War it was used as a concentration camp and was known for torture and cruelty to prisoners. Most of the camp's prisoners came from the neighbouring area. In early January 2016 the government of Montenegro, over the objections of those who were once imprisoned on the island, approved a plan to convert the site into a luxury beach resort. Note we can arrange boat trips to the island.

The Blue Cave is the largest of many sea caves on Lustica peninsular between Zlatna luka and Cape Mokra gora. It is named after the unusual blue colour of the water because the way the light hits the sandy bottom and reflects up through the water makes the whole cave look blue. It’s very beautiful and it’s a lucky quirk because almost all of the coast here is rocky, not sandy. You can see the blue light shining out of the cave when you approach, but to really see it you’ve got to go inside and get underwater. The water is a few degrees warmer than outside of the cave. Don’t forget your snorkel or goggles when you come here! This is included in the 6hr boat trip we provide

Plavi Horizonti beach is situated in a beautiful natural cove and is part sand, part small pebbles. It is one of the few true sandy beaches in the region. It is an ideal beach because the water is completely flat and calm it is shallow for a long way out, gradually deepening very slowly. Once you’re in the sea, it’s soft sand underfoot and beautiful clear water. If you ventured off over to the right towards the rocks at the edge of the cove, the water deepened and there were tons of colourful fish swimming around so don't forget your snorkels and face masks. There’s a bar / restaurant there and shaded wooded area if you need to cool off. Parking is a short walk through the pine trees. We love taking the dogs here in the winter they love runnuing in the beach.

Kotor is a coastal town located in a secluded part of the Bay of Kotor. The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is surrounded by impressive fortifications built during the Venetian period and the Venetian influences can be seen in the old town architecture which is one of the best preserved medieval old towns in the Adriatic and is a UNESCO world heritage site. The little town of Perast lies at the foot of the hill St Elijah opposite the narrows Verige strait where the inner most bays of Kotor and Risan converge. Perast was the earliest inhabited settlement in Boka area. According to the presumptions of the archaeologists, the first settlements appeared in the area of Perast in the Neolithic times. Islands of Perast Near Perast there are two islets: one is called Sveti Đorđe (St George) or Sveti Juraj and the other Gospa od Škrpjela (Our Lady of the Rocks), and each has a picturesque chapel. Gospa od Škrpjela is particularly interesting given that it is the only artificially-built island in the Adriatic, with an area of 3,030 m², it was built upon a rock (Škrpjel) after two Venetian sailors from Perast found a picture of the Virgin Mary on it on July 22 1452. Returning from future voyages the sailors returned to the rock and laid rocks into the sea, over time the island gradually emerged. The custom of throwing rocks into the sea around the island is still alive today. Every year at sunset on 22 July an event called Fašinada when locals take their boats filled with rocks to the island and throw them into the sea.

Bar sat at the foot at Mount Rumija, Stari Bar is a major attraction in its own right. An earthquake in 1979 severely damaged the settlement. Every corner offers something different, from old houses and shops to ruined streets and spots now overrun by nature. King Nikola’s Palace is arguably the main cultural attraction in Bar, this elegant Palace was built in 1885 for King Nikola. The palace now houses a museum full of folk costumes and other authentic historical items. The dominant piece of architecture in the city is the imposing Church of St. Jovan Vladimir. A short drive from the city centre sits the beloved Stara Maslina, one of the oldest trees on the entire planet. This olive tree has been here for well over two millennia. Bar to Belgrade by Train It might seem unusual to recommend leaving a town as one of the main attractions, but then not every part of the world has a train route as magnificent as the one that runs from Bar all the way to Belgrade. The 11-hour (if everything is running to plan, which it rarely is) journey is a veritable conveyor belt of eye candy, with bountiful nature exploding on both sides of the track. More than 400 bridges are traversed along the way, before the train finally trundles into the Serbian capital. The journey over the celebrated Belgrade to Bar railway is one of Europe's most spectacular train rides. It's a marvel of engineering, with 254 tunnels and 435 bridges on the 296-mile journey. Construction of the line started in the 1950s but only completed in 1976, opened by President Tito. It costs about €21 and will be the best €21 you'll ever spend. Tickets cannot be booked online, but can easily be booked at the station in Bar or Podgorica.
