This house in ​​Papaikou is surrounded by nature, waking up to the chirping of birds in the morning and sleeping to the croaking of coqui frogs at night. I had a very relaxing time. The two hosts were very kind and supported and taught me a lot. I would definitely like to come back if I have the opportunity. Mahalo.

My fiancé and I LOVED our stay at Bali Hale. Even before we arrived Leanna provided us clear instructions for how to get to the Hale. She even communicated to us in advance about something (hammock chair)that was broken by a previous guest in case we had been looking forward to using it since it would not be available. We arrived and found it easily. Everything was exactly as described and in the photos. The Bale Hale is really a very special place. We both slept so well to the sounds of coqui frogs and passing rain. Leanna has provided a detailed book with information about the Hale as well as area recommendations. We hope to come back to the big island and stay at the Bali Hale again. Thanks to Leanna and Family for being such wonderful, communicative and gracious hosts.

It was an amazing experience. The home is absolutely stunning! It was a perfect mix of modern and HAWAIIAN. Mahalo nui for creating such a peaceful atmosphere. 10/10 recommend!!! We will be visiting soon!

This was such a great find and such a peaceful place to stay. The cutest, off-grid jungle home!! We loved our stay here and Kyle was a wonderful host, gave us a great run down of the place and was very accommodating and extremely helpful. Would recommend this spot to anyone! Listening to the nature sounds and being in the jungle was so peaceful and we just loved it. Wonderful place!!

I am more than happy about my stay here in mangoland. Laura is extremely friendly and has a wonderful little paradise in mangoland that she shared with us. I grew up on a ranch off grid, so this was very perfect for me and being IN THE JUNGLE was unreal. As a chef, the kitchen had all of the basics that I needed to cook home cooked meals every morning and night. The cabin was clean and the mattress was the comfiest mattress I have ever slept on. The outdoor shower was so relaxing and the water temp was perfect every time. Waking up and falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle was truly unreal. Staying here really made me realize what my life would look like living off grid on the big island, and I loved every second of it. My brain feels rewired after my stay here.

My family really enjoyed our stay at WSV. Great location right across from magic sands beach. Loved my mornings with the birds on the lanai. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this cozy little studio tucked away behind the main house. It’s a tiny home, but incredibly well-equipped — it had everything we needed, from barbecue burner grill and washer/dryer to beach chairs and even a first aid kit, which really shows the hosts have thought of everything. The space itself is super clean and comfortable, and the private covered patio was a perfect spot to relax with a morning coffee or unwind in the evening. The backyard is beautiful and peaceful, with fruit trees and even a few chickens roaming around. Despite feeling like a quiet retreat, the location is also very convenient — just about 15 minutes from restaurants and grocery stores. Overall, it was a perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and accessibility. Would recommend to anyone who visits around Kona.

We loved every minute at Nicki's place. She met us at the door for a really helpful welcome tour and was always very quick to respond to inquiries about things to do in Kona and beyond. The beds were super comfy and the house was airy with tons of big windows and doors with screens, so it was a lovely place to relax. The pool is way bigger than we expected - perfect for laps after sitting in the sauna. The water temp was pretty cold, though, as it's not heated and it had been cloudy for a while, so the kids didn't really use the pool. But they kept busy by picking fruit from the many trees surrounding the house. Oh and the view, of course - amazing! Very close to the house is Mountain Thunder Coffee, which offers free tours of their facility so you can see why Kona coffee is so unique - a big hit for kids and adults alike. We can't recommend Nicki's place more highly - would have loved to stay longer!

Location, location, location! We chose this airBNB specifically so we could be close to Magic Sands Beach. It was perfect. We could walk right across the street with beach chairs, cooler, and wakeboards that were at the Airbnb. So very convenient when you’re traveling from so far away. The pool onsite was impeccable and so clean. Looks like the Pickleball courts were brand new - which we used and had a great time. We would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants an ideal location, white Sandy beaches and access to good restaurants.
