Perfect and quiet place to gather with family! Very comfortable , have everything you need very accesible and easy to find. We felt very safe.

I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Fredericksburg, or looking for a central location to explore the Hill Country area of central Texas. It is located in a quiet neighborhood about 1 mile from Main Street in Fredericksburg (easily walkable if you use secondary/side streets), less than 30 minutes from dozens of wineries, the Johnson Ranch and Enchanted Rock, and roughly an hour from Pedernales State Park. The host was extremely responsive to messages. The house and property were well kept, the large backyard had a high fence which added to privacy, the bedrooms were clutter free and very comfortable (beds, linens, etc), and the bathrooms were modern and spotless. The kitchen, especially, was perfectly stocked and organized for everything a short term guest might reasonably want. I would stay there again.

Great place for our group of 4. Didn’t get to use hot tub or fire pit but maybe next time.

Perfect house for a girls getaway. Space was cozy, beds were comfortable and house was super clean. The location was great and it was convenient for all the places we went around the area. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect for access to Main St, the wine trail, and don’t forget Luckenbach! The layout gave us plenty of room for our group of 4 (each with their own bedroom) and each felt they had a private space. Clean house without a lot of demands upon leaving (take care of the home as you would your own). When we had a question, it was answered promptly. Would definitely stay here again on a future trip.

Cozy, comfortable and relaxing. Sitting on the front porch watching and listening to the birds was fantastic! Kitchen was easy to cook in. And we loved all the decor - including the functioning pump organ, phonograph, and more. Highly recommend!!

We lost our best friend, making our visit to Mountain Home a somber event. The location was less than one mile from their home making it convenient to travel back-and-forth. It was a blessing to be able to come to a peaceful and quiet place to rest. We did not have the opportunity to truly take advantage of the beautiful surroundings. Everything we needed for our stay was available to us. It is evident this home is decorated with love and thought. If you seek serenity we encourage you to plan a stay. Ps…I enjoyed the treats especially the sausage bites…thank you.

Peaceful location; near Main Street . Plenty of space, jacuzzi was a relaxing added feature. There still is construction in the back, but did not disturb us over the weekend.

Lovely grounds and nice, cozy apartment on the first floor with a full kitchen, large bath, nice living room. Bed was so comfortable that we overslept! You really can't beat the grounds - like going to a park. No street noise. Out of town yet a five minute drive to anywhere you want to go. Best of both worlds. Beats a hotel room by a mile

This was the perfect space for myself and my 6 closest friends to celebrate my bachelorette party!! Its was such a beautiful space and very quiet and private. The host was so proactive with check in information, was flexible with an early check in time. They provided a clean and charming stay. I would stay here 10 times over, very affordable and walkable! We had a nice time! Very peaceful, clean and quiet place. I like that has minimal decors and spacious. Dana and Kelsey were excellent in communicating and messaging us about their instructions.

Absolutely loved the peaceful location away from the city. The front porch, with its two rocking chairs, felt like a little slice of paradise—so calm and ideal for relaxing. The cabin itself is warm, inviting, and perfect for a romantic couples retreat. Laura was incredibly responsive, and her property is truly beautiful.

The Gumbo Getaway was a beautiful secluded space just a few minutes outside of the town. Well equipped home. Kelsey was proactive in her communications throughout our stay and I even ran into her while walking my dog, extremely friendly and made me feel right at home.
