Access to the home is via a mile long dirt / gravel road. 4WD or AWD drive is recommended if you are not used to mountain road driving. Daylight arrival is best, the road is unlit. The view is worth the effort!

The entire upper level is entirely yours with its own private entrance. Access requires steps. The parking is the only shared space since the lower level has a permanent resident.

Nestled in the mountains of Hayesville NC you will find Owl’s Nest. A perfect retreat for 2 people, this one bedroom one bath apartment is located in the upper story of a large barn (no worries, as there are no animals below) . (Dry storage for motorcycles.) For those who love to fish there is a 2 acre stocked fishing pond with bass, catfish, sunfish & more (catch and release only), as well as approx 250’ of creek frontage on Tusquittee Creek for trout fishing.
