This was a great find in Elkin, NC. The location was convenient to everything downtown and within waling distance. The accommodations were very comfortable, plenty of room and clean. There were plenty of towels for 2 (we did have the 3 bedroom so that may also be why there were more than enough towels). Water temperature and pressure in shower was great. Rooftop sitting area was enjoyable and Elkin had more than expected for activities for when you want to get out and about. The host was very attentive and proactive with communication. Instructions to access building and room were clear and easy to understand. I'm definitely putting Elkin and the Carolina Experience on my list of places to return to. We loved staying at David & Jennifer's Condo in Beech Mountain. The Pinnacle is an older complex, but the condo has been nicely updated, it's roomy and had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend!

Responds fast to questions. Not far of a walk to the slopes and if it’s been snowing, you can almost even snowboard back to the room.

This is a fabulous little gem, and the perfect wee retreat that's not too far from Blacksburg and some beautiful hikes/venues. I booked Joe's place for its proximity to a wedding in Pembroke, and it was very easy to find plus was an excellent "home base." This Airbnb is a nice size for a solo traveler or two people, any more than that and it would probably be a little small. Since it is close to a road, there is road noise—those who are sensitive to this may not be happy. I personally didn't mind and slept great! :-) Joe's place was spotless and had some lovely personal touches that made it feel home-y, and the bed was very comfy. I will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area! Thank you Joe for your hospitality. 💚

Thanks for another great stay with even better views of the mountains in the winter. Enjoyed time in nature and with the wildlife right off the deck.

This bottom floor apartment was in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood that was close to all the West Jefferson places we like to visit. It was clean and organized. I loved the little “extra thoughtful amenities” that were available if you forgot things from home. My favorite part was sitting on the porch drinking coffee relaxing while two hummingbirds hovered for a minute.

we really enjoyed are stay at Theresa Ann's place. Welt right at home and the view and sounds of the river were an added bonus as well. it was clean and everything we needed was there as well. We also enjoyed the park with the kids that's right behind where we stayed.

We had a very nice stay at the Sunflower Suite. Patricia and Gene's place is super comfortable, quiet, and spotless. We felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. We enjoyed the gas fireplace in the morning. We would happily stay here again.

This was perfect for us and our dogs while staying in the area for a wedding. The view is absolutely amazing and the apartment was cozy. Morgan really pays attention to detail and all of the usual things that may be forgotten while packing, she had in the airbnb available. I was pleasantly surprised! One thing to note is that the apartment is located below their family’s home, and it can be loud at times as you can hear every footstep/movement upstairs, however, it didn’t really bother us in particular as we live in a duplex and are used to it. It did not keep us up or interfere with our experience. We really felt at home here and would definitely return. Thank you, Morgan!

This apartment has so much charm! The hosts were very kind. I stayed here for a week as I was performing at and had many meetings at Virginia Tech. Two of my colleagues joined me for the final few days. We all agreed that the beds were the most comfortable beds ever! Also, the water temp and pressure in the shower was great! I felt very safe in this spot for the few days that I stayed there alone. (These are big deal items for me since I travel quite a bit.) I would definitely stay here again.

Check in was easy. It was larger than we expected. Plenty of room for 2-5 people. If one person slept on the couch. We’d definitely book again. Thank you for sharing you place with us!

We had a great time at the Porch at Fairystone. The place was extremely clean and very comfortable. Spencer was a great host and communicated very well with us when we had questions. Highly recommend staying here!!

Eduardo is a responsive and helpful host. His basement apartment was the perfect place for our family to enjoy Beech Mountain. Warm, cozy, with all comforts of home provided. Very close to ski resort. Absolutely loved seeing deer right outside. Great place at a great value.

The Joyful Loft is truly a "home away from home". Lots of nearby activities if you're interested, many eateries. Just want to stay in and relax? The Joyful Loft is great for that also. You won't be disappointed. Can't wait til my next trip; hope the Loft is available.

Cozy space , very close and convenient to outings. Luckily there wasn’t snow to drive up the mountain, it can get foggy tho but nothing that can’t be handled with safety. Definitely recommend :)

Absolutely perfect spot for a ski getaway. We had a blast at Beech Mtn and loved being able to snuggle up next to a real fire after a wonderful day of skiing

It was also incredibly quiet, making for a peaceful getaway. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the sledding hill, which was a huge plus. Beautiful view !! Comfortable bed. Hot tub a big plus ! Jim was very helpful and had great recommendations for local hikes. I could literally see the snow moving in across the mountain. It was the perfect spot !

Edwin’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway for me and my fiancé. Super close to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. The host also recommended great places to rent gear, etc. We loved it and would recommend their place if you’re looking for a place to stay close to the ski resort!!
