Brilliant little apartment in a perfect spot—just a short walk to the lake and loads of great cafes. It was quiet, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a short family break. Really comfortable and convenient. We’d happily stay again!

We had a wonderful stay here and cannot wait to come back! Jennifer is amazing as a host, quick responses and so helpful. She gave us a list of things we could whilst we were there which was so helpful. The apartment is so cosy and was spotless when we arrived. The holiday village is fantastic for kids. The swimming pool is easy to book online and the playroom is great for the younger ones. The restaurant is a bit on the expensive side but we were able to cook in the apartment, each evening. The double air fryer was super handy! We loved this place and genuinely cannot wait for another visit.

My wife, daughter, and I had a great time. The apartment was very well stocked with everything we needed. Very clean and tidy. Spacious living room for playing games around the dining table or watching a movie while stretching out on the sofa. Just a short walk into the main town of Bowness-on-Windermere, up a slightly steep hill but we are in the Lakes for walking. We all found it very relaxing and we’d be happy to come again.

Ian’s place was stunning in every aspect from the cleanliness right down to the location. This Air BnB is a real gem and perfect for exploring The Lake District. Ian is a good host who answered all of our questions. We loved it so much we booked an extra night. Would highly recommend a stay in this Air BnB, we will definitely return.

Great place! The cottage is wonderful, everything is simple, natural and very nice. It was equipped with everything you need. Great place as a base for hiking, a big city with attractions is very close. Anne is a very warm person, always ready to help. Thank you for a very nice time spent here.

Just returned from a three day stay at Michael's place. It was fabulous, great communication from Michael, the apartment was spotless ,easy check in, very quiet beautiful setting. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. Very convenient for all areas, great walks. Lots of eating places nearby. Swimming pool was a bonus! Would definitely recommend Michael's place. We will go back again !

We had a wonderful two-day stay at the Flat at Aikton Arms. The remote and peaceful location, surrounded by farms, provided a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. While it’s not a touristy destination, it offers a tranquil hideout away from the crowds. Just an hour away, we could easily explore many of the Lake District’s attractions.

It was easy to book and David promptly responded to the messages. Clear instructions were given for everything and were easy to check in. Everything was spotless and nicely organised. The house was beautifully decorated and well maintained. This place was the best Airbnb we stayed so far as it was complete with everything. We had certain bad experiences previously in other places but this one nothing to complain. Cozy and felt like home. Kitchen was complete with all the necessities. Rooms, bedding and bathroom was clean. Highly recommended and you won’t be disappointed with this place. Thank you so much David and keep up the good service. ☺️

Great location in the middle of Ulverston. Kitchen had everything we needed and when we needed to we pressed 'boost' on the heating controls and the house heated quickly. very cozy, homely house. Would recommend and stay again

Jane’s house is the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. It’s so much more beautiful than the photos (which were already very lovely) - spacious, light and airy. It is also the best equipped property we’ve ever been to - better than our own house!! The views from the deck are incredible - every day it looked different. It’s a brilliant base to explore the Lake District and there are loads of ideas for walks or days out in the drawer in the living room. The games room was another amazing bonus which our darts-obsessed son adored. Thank you Jane for a really wonderful week! X

Ash Cottage is in a quiet residential area but easy to walk into the village centre. The house is very comfortable. Steve was kind enough to adjust the heating for us from his phone app when it was chilly. He even surprised us with a mid-stay visit to check all was well. The roses in the kitchen were a lovely touch. We would recommend for a long or short stay.

We’ve just had a lovely stay, location was a great base to visit the lakes and Morecambe. Home was lovely and quiet and we would definitely stay again if in the area.

The pictures do not do this location the justice it deserves! Perfect house for 8 of us to celebrate three 50th Birthdays. A short walk into Bowness with lots to see and do, if walking though be mindful there are some inclines back up! The hot tub view was amazing and an added bonus to this house. Simon was a very attentive host, answered very quick to any queries in the lead up and also during our stay. All in all a fab long weekend, great house and location. Would definitely recommend!

A lovely house, close to the town centre but in a quiet location. Everything you need in the house, including a box of toiletry items in case you had forgotten anything.

Family of 4 (2 adults/2 kids) just got back from 2 nights at Tom's simply stunning apartment. The photos don't quite do it justice for it's size with fantastic views, luxury touches & sun terrace with views of the front/sea. Tom was fantastic throughout our stay, arranged our luggage to be able to get dropped at Briggs early & messaged to give us a well received late check out!! We spent our time visiting the lake district, morcambe sea front & happy mount park. We ate in the cafe downstairs (Ritas) the market & ordered takeaways in the evening sitting around the well appointed dining table/island. Evenings spent relaxing on the HUGE comfortable sofas watch a movie on the HUGE tv. Have to say: the beds were so comfortable, the apartment so quiet in the evening we had the best night's sleep. Thankyou Tom & Tina .... your Airbnb in stunning & we will definitely return in the future.

We went for a short break and it was lovely! The house was perfect for chilling out after a long day. Kitchen had a lot of things we needed and plenty of things to do even in the home! Perfect location, both towns either side of us with lots of options to eat and all within walking distance too. We were so glad we were able to stay here and hoping to be back soon! The apartment is beautifully appointed, clean and spacious. The location was peaceful, close to the centre of Bowness. It was perfect for what I was looking for with my family.

An Easter Break at The Beehive ,Grasmere. From clear communication & instruction, The Beehive was a perfect place to spend the Easter Break in the Lake District. Accurate description, spotlessly clean. Complimentary bottle of wine and a lovely fruit cake on arrival . The decor was lovely throughout & the apartment had everything we needed during our stay. The views from the communal garden space were lovely & an easy walk into Grasmere took us to some lovely eateries . Really enjoyed the Distillery & The Swan Hotel . Rather than use the car we hopped on & off the regular 555 & 599 buses to Ambleside, Keswick . They were so easy & cheap too. With a flexible check in & out and great communication we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will surely return . Thanks

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment. Very well equipped and great views of Ambleside from the living room and the Balcony. Bed was very comfortable. It was just a 5 minutes walk to shops and restaurants, but still away from the noise. Definitely recommended!

Beautiful apparent with lots of things to do aroud. Very clean and organised and a very friendly hoast. Spacious bathroom, well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Overall a beautiful weekend away.

This is such a lovely place, it felt like home from home, had everything we needed, clean and comfy. Such a beautiful area, lovely walks from the house, and Grasmere is lovely too. We will definitely be back.

Judith was fantastic from start to finish. Friendly, proactive, helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. The accommodation was beautifully decorated, lovely spacious bedrooms and nicely finished bathrooms!
