Martin was a very helpful and responsive host. We arrived in the evening to find the house opened with lights on and the stove lit, it was very welcoming on a cold night. The house is in a scenic location and is very peaceful and private. All the beds were comfortable with good storage in each room. The bathroom is bright and modern with plenty of hot running water. Extra towels were available for our use. The kitchen dining living space is extremely spacious with a double height ceiling. It’s a very attractive space and ideal for a young family. The kitchen was well kitted out with all the essentials for cooking and an abundance of tableware. There are plentiful ledges for food preparation, with a large table as well as an island. A separate utility was another useful feature. Martin was a flexible host which we greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend honeymoon cottage.

Staying here was like stepping into a peaceful, magical retreat. The cozy wood-burning fire made the space feel so welcoming and serene, and the private sauna was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Waking up to views of rolling fields filled with sheep and the surrounding mountains was pure bliss. Every detail of the stay felt thoughtful and relaxing—it truly felt like a little sanctuary away from the world. I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and already dreaming of coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil escape in nature.

We really lived our stay at Roisin’s. It was very clean, comfortable and a really nice space to relax in the middle of town. Roisin was a great host very helpful and communicative. There is a folder full of useful information about Trim the sites surrounding areas place to eat etc. I would highly recommend a stay!

2nd time staying at this property and will definitely be back. Olivia and her parents were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. would highly recommend visiting for a peaceful holiday. We spent a lovely easter weekend in Mai's peaceful and quiet cottage. It had everything we needed, very comfortable beds and nice linen, plenty of hot water, and good wifi. We were delighted with the field of cows beside us! It's in a great location for walking Slieve Bloom. Mai was a great host. We would have loved to stay for longer, and hope to go back again soon.

I mentioned in my booking that I was there was a family funeral and the first thing I saw was a sympathy card and some flowers. So so kind and thoughtful. And the day before we were leaving Shelagh sent me a message saying I could check out anytime I like as there was no one immediately booked after me. I was there for very sad reasons and Shillelaghs kindness was so appreciated by myself and family members. Thank you Shelagh
