Very well established Irish bar. Lots of good beers on tap, 3 floors containing: a quieter pub in the basement, live music on the ground floor and a dance floor upstairs. They also have food.

PA is the best spot for fresh produce. Great selection of well priced cheeses, meats, fresh bread and deli products. Go here if you like to cook with great ingredients. They also sell beer upstairs

The comedy nest is a stones throw away from Karl's apartment and is a fun way to spend an evening. Shows range from free to 25$ and usually feature several stand up comedians.

Very renowned authentic Japense cusine. Very busy as it is one of the best rated restaurants in Montreal. Small seating capacity so be prepared to wait in line. It is well worth it. 20-30$ a person
