We go to Woodlands tucked away in Vredehoek for pizzas, burgers and craft beer. They can be quite busy, so it is best to make a booking. Tel nr: 021 801 5799

Truth Coffee is probably the best coffee shop in Cape Town and a must visit with their steampunk style type of decor and coffee that gets roasted on their premises.

I only visited Bocca for the first time recently and absolutely love their food. It is an Italian restaurant on the busy and vibey Bree Street. Try their zucchini fritters, very yum. They can be quite busy and don't take bookings, so best is to go early.

Essentials

If you walk 2 blocks down Bellair Road and get to Derry Road, turn right (towards the mountain) and you will see our local grocery store, the Vredehoek Kwikspar. We do quite a lot of our grocery shopping here, they have fresh meats, fish (The cheapest salmon you will find in Cape Town), fruit & veg, bakery, a deli, ready made sushi and most things you need there. Next door is a liquor store as well if you need to buy some beer, spirits or wine.
