Food Scene

Great little vegan cafe, for ice cream, coffee and baked goods. Their ice cream is divine, and definitely not for vegans only!

Small restaurant, small menu, big on flavor and local food. Our favorite go-to spot for a date night, it is also great for a mid-week treat. I hear their Sunday brunch is excellent as well- if you try it, let us know!

This Japanese & Korean restaurant has been putting out consistently delicious meals in JP for more than a decade. Always dependable, always great food. We've probably eaten here more than any other restaurant in JP. We especially love their creative vegetarian sushi rolls.

We don't eat burgers anymore, but if we did, we'd run right out to the Galway House and order one with fries. No frills, step back into the old JP and enjoy the ride. And good food and beer, too!

Finally, we have a place in JP for a late night bite to eat! It's going to be tasty, and you are sure to find something you can wash it down with from their wide selection of beer and cocktails. (For some reason the address shows up as Central Avenue. The address is 711 Centre Street, right in the center of JP.)

Parks & Nature

There are miles of paths, beautifully maintained. Great for a walk or a run, and you can stay on or off the beaten path throughout this 280+ acre park. Best of all, an under 10 minute walk will take you there! Oh, and did we mention that admission is free?

The water glistens like no other on a sunny day! This is a place to sit and watch people go by, take a leisurely stroll, or jog the loop around the pond. It's just a tad under 1.5 miles around. Jog there and back and you double your run.

Shopping

This is a regular, large grocery store. You can get pretty much everything you need here. (It should be in the grocery store category, but for some reason that option is not open to me for this entry!)
