Our neighborhood is thrilled to have a second grocery store w/i walking distance! Sprouts is like a lower priced Whole Foods. They have lots of natural and organic brands as well as bulk items like nuts, coffee, quinoa, etc. More vegetarian and vegan options. We also love their salad and juice bar + free Wi-Fi.

As of MARCH 2024, we are SUPER excited about Azlin at the Clarendon, the new restaurant that just opened! Everything on the menu is magnificent. And we're looking forward to seeing how the hotel is to be renovated b/c this used to be a popular high-end boutique hotel, featuring amazing decor, comfortable rooms and a gorgeous pool setting. Formerly family-owned the hotel had exceptional standards of service and stunning aesthetics. It's now owned by a new LLC promising a brand new look/feel, so we're waiting to witness how they will upgrade. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and eat at Azlin. I always refer to it because it's right next door, within walking distance.

The oldest locally owned bookstore in Phoenix is a sweet spot to find local gifts + take a load off at First Draft Book Bar, for coffee or alcoholic libations!

Consejos para la ciudad

Costumbres y cultura

Big City that’s Like a Small Town!

While Phoenix is the sixth largest city in the U.S., it often feels like a small town b/c it’s so spread out & people are super down to earth. Most people drive vs using public transportation so if you do ride the Light Rail or bus, take care. It’s safe but it’s not like the average Phoenician uses it! Unless we’re going to a concert or sporting event downtown.
