Not so many people know, but the production line of famous UWS Levain Bakery is located on Frederick Douglass Blvd. Even though they only offer counter service and there is no seating in the bakery, it's definitely worth visiting. Their cookies, scones and banana bread are the best I ever had and you can always seat at the park and enjoy the sunshine.

During the night the will open up their space downstairs, where a variety of DJs and live bands will come to play. They leave a list of artists playing along the week on a chalkboard outside.
