Fiesole is the best way to get out of the city and see Florence at the same time, it is old, quaint, natural, and has all the qualities of a picturesque tuscan town. The bus ride is a short 20 minutes out of the city and up a windy road. Once you are there, you can explore the neighborhoods on foot, see the painted shutters on houses, the flowers on the balconies, the views of the ruins down the hill, the cypress trees that we all identify as tuscan...
