This place is located inside the Filmoteca, so if you have the opportunity to go there to watch an interesting/creative/indie film it would be a great idea to stop at the restaurant. La Monroe, has a small menu but it's compensated by the creativity and flavour of the dishes. Customer Service is amazing and cocktails should not be missed. If you are into Latin American cuisine, this is a very good start. The menu offers food from several Latin countries (Colombia, Argentina, Peru and Mexico), it might not be exactly as it would be in the country of origin but it's the closest you would get in the area. Please, do not miss the CEVICHE CARTAGENERO (from Colombia) and SUPER NACHOS (from Mexico). Music, decoration and cocktails are very nice.

In Spanish “granja” means farm, and in Barcelona a trip to Granja M. Viader means you’re in for a chocolate treat. At Granja M. Viader, guests can order up churros and melted chocolate, a classic Spanish treat. Granja M. Viader isn’t just a sweet shop. It’s also a historic site, dating back to the mid 1800s when it did in fact operate as a farm in Barcelona. If it’s a hot day and warm thick chocolate sounds too intense, try one of the milkshakes. They’re just as thick the melted chocolate but will still cool you off.

Casa Batlló is one of the two great buildings designed by Antoni Gaudí on Passeig de Gràcia, the other being La Pedrera. From the outside the façade of Casa Batlló looks like it has been made from skulls and bones. The "Skulls" are in fact balconies and the "bones" are supporting pillars. Gaudí used colours and shapes found in marine life as inspiration for his creativity in this building e.g. the colours chosen for the façade are those found in natural coral.

Casa Milà , also known as“La Pedrera”, has been a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage site since 1984 because of its exceptional universal value. This heritage anniversary has also coincided with the completion of the restoration works on the façade of La Pedrera. The restoration, promoted by Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation, shows the foundation’s desire to maintain and preserve one of Antoni Gaudí’s most emblematic civil buildings for future generations. A must-visit while in Barcelona. Specially in summer, there are some special events at night so it's better to book online way in advance.

Another of Gaudí’s pieces of work, but unique in itself, the Sagrada Familia is his most-famous piece of architecture, and an icon of Barcelona. In construction since 1882, and with the end not even in sight, this is a working piece of art, making it a very engaging visit indeed. Not only is it a spectacular feast for the eyes from the outside, with beautiful views from each side, the Sagrada Familia also boasts a fantastic museum inside. For less than €20 you can admire the incredible interior, including the tower. An unfinished masterpiece, but beautiful nonetheless, visitors to Barcelona simply can’t miss visiting the Sagrada Familia.
