This place started as a local food cart and has expanded to a couple of brick and mortar places around town. GREAT tacos and the best house made salsas! Very casual and located on 50th just north of Powell. Seating is outside at picnic tables.

This is a local joice bar that has several locations around Portland. If you feel you have abused your body by too much food and drink, this would be a good place to stop in and treat your body to some whole food goodness. They also serve breakfast bowls with fruit, granola, etc.

They have several different kinds of Poke and you build your own bowl with a choice of ingredients, sides and toppings. The fish is fresh and delicious and it is very affordable with most bowls coming in at just $10. You can add an extra scoop of poke for $4 and even get two different kinds! A bit stark and sparse inside but clean lines and modern. Loving this place!

A bit stark and sparse inside but clean lines and modern. Loving this place!
A trip to Portland would not be complete without a visit to a food cart pod and this one has a LOT of carts, a nice fire pit and plenty of undercover seating! Located on 11th and SE Madison so a long walk or about 7 minutes by car.

This is a small food cart pod but quality carts! Matt's BBQ is one of the top rated carts in Portland. There is also a full bar and they serve local brew and wine. Covered and heated patio. I love this place!

This is one of my FAVORITE restaurants in Portland! They have a great view from their patio and grow a lot of their ingredients in their rooftop garden. It is not walking distance but well worth the drive! Reservations are reccommended.

McMenamin's is a local chain of interesting pubs/theaters/breweries owned by two brothers. This particular location is in the home of an old movie theater and they stillshow movies but with a twist; You can order hearty food fare and drinks to enjoy as you sit in one of the two stories of this iconic theater. Great for a rainy day. The food isn't the best in town, nor is the beer but still worth going for the experience!
