Parks & Nature

This huge park has the most incredible history—Henry VIII used to hunt here, and the Royal Ballet school is situated in the middle. It’s great for a run or long walk as there are wild deer roaming about and coffee stalls dotted around for when you want a break. One of our favourite places. Go and meditate by Pen Ponds at sunrise or sunset. It’s so peaceful and still.

One of London’s biggest parks, this has the most amazing variety of dogs (and dog walkers!). It’s a place to people-watch or walk to the top of Parliament Hill for the best view across the city. In the summer, go for a dip in the mixed ponds—they’re freezing, but so much fun and a great spot for a picnic with friends or a date. If you go for a long walk on a Sunday, around 3 pm you can head to the Spaniards Inn for the best roast in town—make sure you book. Dogs are allowed, and there’s a great beer garden.

This little pocket of Japan in an English setting is a beautiful green space with a beautiful koi carp pond. The best thing about it is the 16 peacocks that roam free around the grounds. We actually take our guests here as part of our Inner Fix Experience—it’s the perfect place to lead a group meditation as it’s not that well known and very tranquil. This garden is part of the grounds of Holland Park Opera, so you could book tickets for the opera and arrive ahead of time to allow for an immersive experience of peacefulness and peacocks.

Entertainment & Activities

There’s nothing like dancing to free your mind, and this is without doubt the best place to go—with so many classes, from salsa to ballet to street. The teachers are incredible, as are the studios, with sprung wooden floors, a barre, and mirrored walls. It’s a little dingy outside, but charming. It reminds us of the films Centre Stage and Fame. Check out the shop next door for some great dancewear. And book ahead.

This sexy, modern fitness studio is intense. If you love clubbing and working out, this is your place. The trainers are energetic, motivating, and supportive. The Rumble class, which involves cardio boxing and some martial arts, had us all sweating absolute buckets. It’s bloody hard, but cathartic and such an adrenaline rush. The changing rooms are amazing—they have everything you need to go from sweaty gym mess to night on the tiles. You can also grab a smoothie in the foyer after class—they are delicious and, trust us, you’re gonna need one.

This flower market that takes over the whole road is the perfect place to wander on a Sunday—and it’s free. You can’t help but snap into a good mood when you’re surrounded by such incredible flowers and vibrant colours. Columbia Road itself can be exceptionally busy, so get prepped with a hearty brunch first. We like Blixen on Brushfield Street, about 20 minutes away.

Arts & Culture

One of the most sacred, beautiful places in London—you really feel a sense of calm and otherworldliness when you step inside. You can go for an actual service or simply visit to wander around on your own terms. The Gothic Revival architecture, soaring arches, and peacefulness of this place will take your breath away. Make sure you have change in your purse because there is an entrance fee of £5—unless you’re under 16, in which case it’s free.

This twice monthly get-together—at 11 am on Sundays—focuses on community and fun. Every event has an inspirational talk, some sing-along fun, and a spot of mindfulness followed by tea and cake. There’s a real buzz in the air, and it’s always nice to see hardened and often antisocial Londoners connecting with warmth and openness. Don’t hold back or worry about feeling self-conscious. You’ll enjoy it best if you connect with people and throw yourself into what’s going on.
