When in Pheonix, make sure you visit the desert botanical garden, it’s simply gorgeous! During the months of May to August, make sure you visit early in the morning, check the website, the garden opens as early as 7am, and by 11am it was already very hot. If you happen to visit during beginning of the month, go on the first Tuesday if you can, the garden admission is free as it is designated as community day. When driving to the garden, select the on-site Gertrude restaurant as your final destination, as the google map does not give the correct guidance when mapped to the address of the garden. If you intend to have lunch at the onsite restaurant, Gertrude’s, make the reservation in advance.
