Greenwich is a great day out. You can get there very easily on the DLR from Stratford. There's lots to see and do there including, the Cutty Sark, Greenwich Maritime museum and lots of nice shops, pubs and cafes to look around. Walk up to the Royal Observatory for a great view of London.

Amazing views of London from Parliament Hill and one of the nicest parks to walk around. If it's warm you can also take a dip in the ponds! You can get the London Overground from Leyton Midland station to Hampstead Heath.
