This unique public space provides breathtaking views of the New Orleans skyline, native landscaping, bike paths, a dog run and multi-use pavilions for all to enjoy. There are often free events during the weekends, but the park is not open at night. It is just a five minute walk from the house.

Studio Be is a 35,000 sq ft warehouse of art, currently housing the first solo show of visual artist Brandan 'Bmike' Odums. It was created after the success of ExhibitBE, a community-centered celebration of street art’s transformative energy that highlights the opportunity for collective empowerment through creative expression that urban blight presents. Food Scene

New York style pizzas, pastas, salads, and desserts with a frequently changing menu and day-to-day specialties pies. Beer on draft. Voted #1 Pizza in New Orleans, Best Pizza in New Orleans, & Restaurant of the Year. Consequently, it is known to get very busy nowadays and there is limited indoor/outdoor seating. As conveyed to me by one of my New York friends: "This is the best thing I've put in my mouth." Just a short walk from the house.

The Country Club New Orleans is located in a historic Italianate Raised Center Hall Cottage and is most known for its $15 bottomless mimosas at brunch, its bar and lounge surrounding the saltwater pool, and its predominantly LGBTQ staff and customers. Every Saturday it is home to "drag brunch." The food can be described as "contemporary southern" and is also quite outstanding. The pool is a great place to cool off, and while no membership is required, it does cost additional money to enter the back pool area. It is located only a couple blocks from the house.

Elizabeth's Restaurant is located in the Bywater in a 100 plus year-old building and is known for its spectacular brunch, which features down-home country classics and a full bar. One of the most popular menu items is the "praline bacon" and is definitely worth trying! No reservations and it gets crowded, so the earlier the better.

Great BBQ and an awesome bar. You can eat inside or out, or just stand outside and take in the smells. You can also order and pick-up (they also cater!), which can be nice since this place is known to get pretty busy these days. This restaurant has great sauce and the portions are verrrry generous. Not far from the house (though located at 701 Mazant, not the address listed by Airbnb).

Laid-back Italian eatery specializing in build-your-own pasta dishes with various sauces & add-ons. All pastas are freshly handmade and the restaurant is located in a casual establishment, that is really more of a bar. Great drinks and beer on draft and not far from the house!

Wonderful wine bar with plenty of microbrews for the beer drinkers too. Grab some wine in the front and bring it back to the lovely courtyard, where there is always live music. Lots of delicious food, cheese plates, tapas, etc. The upstairs is also quite nice and there are often free wine and beer tastings.
