Cocktails to die for at Ruby's There are no flashy signs, no eye-catching entrance, and yet, by word of mouth, this unique cocktail bar has become one of the most talked about venues in town - and rightly. In October 2015, Ruby was ranked 34 on the list of the world's 50 best bars. Despite its posh canal-side location and exclusive décor, Ruby has a relaxed, homey atmosphere, utterly devoid of pretention. The expert bartenders greet you when entering and subsequently serve up some of the most delicious cocktails in Copenhagen. While the cocktails really are to die for, it is the atmosphere that sets this bar apart. Decorated like an apartment, you cannot help but feel at home.

Christiania, the famous freetown of Copenhagen, is without a doubt one of Denmark’s most popular tourist attractions. This controversial area is loved by many, but has been a turning point for strong debate, especially because of the locals' relaxed view on hash.Christiania was founded in 1971, when a group of people cut a hole in the fence to the military barracks in Bådmandsgade. Soon the area was known for Pusher Street, where you could buy hash and pot – but no hard drugs – from various stalls. Today many of the original settlers still live in the collectively controlled village, and the area has a clear 70s feel to it. A must for the curious visiter.
