Classic Turkish mezze dishes and grilled meats, in a comfortable eatery under the railway arches. If it's a nice day then you should book outside as this is a very quiet (traffic-free) frontage with lots of greenery. On a summer evening we feel like we're at a restaurant in Turkey. A unique exerience.

It is a haven for anybody who cares about the quality and provenance of the food they eat - chefs, restaurateurs, passionate amateur cooks and people who just happen to love eating and drinking.

Arts & Culture

A 200 year-old theatre on our doorstep. Great shows both old and new, with a fair smattering of musicals. Pretty much everything they put on here has a great review.

A really great half-day out. A nice walk along the Stouthbank, or you can walk a slightly more direct route which takes us about 7 mins. It's also good for kids and we used to give mine a sketch book and pencils and get them to pick something to draw. Tate holds the national collection of British art from 1500 to the present day and international modern and contemporary art
