the monastry is worth a visit - a Bavarian treasure - also VERY good beer and typical food in historical beer halls and on wonderful terraces -

Its a great bavarian place near the wonderful Ammersee. You can make an easy and nice hike/ walk from Ammersee to Kloster Andechs, drink their own beer, have bavarian food & enjoy the view.
