A lovely day outing. Lunch beside the Marina at St Martin De Re. Explore the cobbled streets and enjoy an ice cream at the wonderful ice cream shop. Visit the light house.

Can hire bikes to explore this island. 2 of the plus belle villages are here Ars-en-Re – charming village with pretty port set beside pretty traditional white cottages with green shutters. Climb church spire to see bell chamber and surrounding countryside La Flotte en Re – Historic quaysides lined with elegant 18th century homes. Port filled with small sailing and fishing vessels. Fort de la Pree built in 1626 played major role in battles with English forces
