One of the great things about Nashville is that it's city life in close proximity to rural places. Kayaking down the Harpeth River is a relaxed fun summer activity. Rent a kayak, bring a picnic lunch to eat on the river. No glass, so bring canned beverages only.

If you're in the mood to get on some of Tennessee's great rivers, this is the place to rent your canoes and kayaks from. Before we had our own, we always went here to rent. There are beautiful river routes out this way. You won't be disappointed!

The Harpeth is a great for a leisurely float on a beautiful day. There are several canoe and kayak rental spots in this area and offer a variety of trip lengths.
