The El Badii Palace (the Incomparable) was built at the end of the 16th century by Sultan Ahmed al-Mansur to commemorate the defeat of the Portuguese in Oued al-Makhazin during the Battle of the Three Kings. It is said that the Incomparable was a palace with more than 300 rooms decorated with the most precious materials: gold, turquoise and crystal. It was completely looted at the end of the 17th century, when Sultan Moulay Ismaïl decided to transfer the capital of Marrakech to Meknes and to use the materials of the El Badii Palace in his city palaces. El Badii Palace is open every day from 9am to 5pm. Entrance fee: 70 dh

A wonderous palace commissioned in 1578 by the sultan of the Saddian dynasty. Originally used for receptions to showcase the sultan’s wealth and power, more recently it was used as the backdrop to Christian Dior’s fashion show.

Located close to the Palais Bahia, Palais Badii is a 16th century Saadian palace that was unfortunately ruined by a later Moroccan Dynasty. What remains is still quite beautiful and it's an opportunity to walk back further in time, view the remaining Mosaics, and climb the stairs for an amazing view of the Atlas Mountains nearby. We recommend that you visit with one of our trusted Medina guides for the best experience

Worth going to visit to see the storks nesting on top of the ramparts. Go for a coffee afterwards in one of the cafes close by & sit in the terrace for a bird's eye view!
