Regent's Canal

There are endless sections you could choose of this interesting east-west waterway, especially between Paddington and Limehouse Basin. I like running 10.5 km from Shoreditch Park to Victoria Park (to do a loop around the park), then back. Past De Beauvoir village, with canal folk out painting their barges, it feels like you’re in the countryside. Summer evenings are really vibrant along the canal, with plenty of people making the most of the boats and pubs that line the route. Be sure to reward yourself afterwards at the Scolt Head pub in De Beauvoir village. They’ve got an awesome beer garden.

Lovely walk towards nature (West) or the cool vibes of Paddington, Camden or further! Stay out of the way of cyclists.

The canal is brilliant for escaping the traffic and getting a fix of wildlife and the serenity of canal life. It’s peaceful during the week and busier at the weekends. There are lots of cafes, bars and shops to stop at on the way. Stroll down to the bottom of the road and you’ll hit the canal. Turn right to head towards King’s Cross, Camden and further west to Maida Vale (or beyond) via a scenic route, passing Camden Market and London Zoo on your way. Turning left on the canal will take you through Dalston to Hackney, under Mare Street to Broadway Market and further.

Regent's Canal is a canal across an area just north of central London, England. It provides a link from the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal, 500 m north-west of Paddington Basin in the west, to the Limehouse Basin and the River Thames in east London. The canal is 13.8 kilometres long. It’s super beautiful , cool and stunning views .
