Something for everyone! A city of contrasts and all around welcoming vibes. My favourite restaurants, for German food: Friedrichs Wirtschaft, Lebensmittel in Mitte, Knodelwirtschaft. Best currywurst in town is at Curry 36, try to go at non peak times to avoid the line. Next to it is Mustafa's Gemuse Kebap for the most famous doner in the city. But most places in Neukolln and Schoneberg will get you a great one! For Turkish grill try Adana Grillhaus or Azzam. For amazing Syrian, try Yarok. For the best burgers, try Tommi's Burger Joint, Burgermeister, or Burgeramt. For great Chinese, try Ming Dynasty, Wen Cheng's Handpulled Noodles, or Liu Cheng Noodle House for fiery Sichuan! If you like Asian food go to any spot on Kantstrasse. Ora Berlin is a nice date spot in a converted old pharmacy! For ways to spend a day in Berlin, check out its famous parks- its known as one of the most green cities in Europe! A favourite of mine is Treptower Park where you can grab a boat to check out the Spree. Or check out Tempelhofer Park which used to be an old airport. Tiergarten is also one Germany's largest city parks. Activities abound as well, beyond the normal Checkpoint Charlie, Reichstag, Brandeburg Gate, Berliner Dom, East Side gallery etc visits, there's tons to do. Get a free walking tour to check out the "regular" tourist sites, or check out another walking tour for "Alternative Berlin" that offers you a glimpse into another side of Berlin, taking you to cool graffiti spots and talking about the artsy side of Berlin. Museum Island offers a number of great museums clustered in one area. Some of the best are Pergamonmuseum and Neues Museum. Or check out various art galleries: some of my favourites are C/O Berlin or Boros Foundation, a converted bunker and club. There are amazing permanent exhibitions like Dark Matter (playing with light and sound), or Lighthouse Berlin. Of course you cannot forget the party and club scene here! My personal favourites are Sisyphos, Katerblau, Ritter Butzke, Zur Wilden Renate, and Else, ://about blank, . Tons of other options are available, Beate Uwe and Menschmeier for a more off the beaten track less touristy experience, or Watergate, Berghain, Suicide Club. For other experiences, try YAAM for more of a reggae and hip hop vibe, KitKat for a sexy night out, or Schwuz for a different type of dance party. Come talk to me to find out the best tips to beat the lineups and the bouncers :) Tons of bars everywhere as well, just pop into something that looks fun, but some recommendations are Suss War Gestern, Booze Bar, KlunkerKranich for amazing views over Berlin (but be prepared to stand in line during peak hours), Prater Garten for a biergarten, Monkey Bar for pricey cocktails and nice views, or swing dancing at Clarchens Ballhaus, or Kaschk for craft beers. For a relaxing time, check out Vabali spa, Liquidrom for a unique Berlin spa experience, or look for Turkish Hammams. Rent a paddleboat or a kayak to meander down the Spree, and on hot summer days maybe even make it out to one of the lakes surrounding Berlin in Brandenburg. For cultural activities, Berlin offers everything you could want. From art-house films screened in tiny cinemas (Kinos), to openair cinemas (google Freiluftkino Berlin), to plays, operas, theatre shows. My personal favourite is to catch a show with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, who is world famous. Check out a jazz club or a burlesque show! Berlin truly offers it all, the above is a small slice of what you can do. Reach out to me to get more info or further tips on what you might be interested in!

Berlin is a city that is always is changing/re-inventing herself. Ofcourse Berlin has a lot of history (also because of 2nd WW & the Wall) Nowadays there are living people from over the whole world in Berlin. So it is aswell a multiculture city, with a lot of arts, (flea)markets, multiculti food, techno music etc. Although every area in Berlin has its own vibe.

Berlin has many places to see as a tourist and this is not the place to list them all. If time is limited I suggest you select a period of history that most interests you concentrate on those sites. Broad categories for me would be: (1) 18th-19th C palaces and monuments e.g. Sanssouci in Potsdam; Gendarmenmarkt; Brandenburg Gate; Reichstag; Siegessäule; Museum Island museums (2)Second World War sites e.g. Bunker tours, Haus der Wannsee Konferenz; Führerbunker; Soviet Memorial at Treptower Park; Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe; Sachsenhausen; Niederkirchnerstraße. (3) Cold War sites e.g. Checkpoint Charlie; Tempelhof Airfield; Fernsehturm; East Side Gallery
