The viewpoint of Monterrone, adjacent to Via Muri, is an embankment located on the outside of the medieval port. It is a great overlook from which you can admire the view of the Itria Valley, the towns of Carovigno, Cisternino, Locorotondo and Ostuni. In 2012 the road and lookout were the subject of a redevelopment project, with the intention of creating a new pedestrian area, which led to the re-paving with stone flagstones of the entire area.
